Abstract(s)
A 9-year-old child was referred to Pediatric Dentistry Consul- tation due to a painful mandibular swelling, with slow growth and not responding to antibiothicotherapy.
Physical examination showed mandibular swelling in the 4th quarter, with lush bulging of the vestibular cortical bone.
The imaging study (dental orthopantomography and mandi- bular CT) revealed radiolucent image, which stretched from al- veolar crest to the basic board, where was placed the tooth 45.
The diagnosis of dentigerous cyst was made.
Treatment consisted of excision of the cyst along with the extraction of the associated tooth, without inferior dental nerve injury.
