A 13 year-old adolescent was referred for an urgent evaluation at our department because of a swelling, slow-growing, and painless, sometimes bleeding lesion of the tongue. He presented a vegetative lesion of the tongue with irregular borders, multiple vesicles of variable size and staining, infiltrating the adjacent tissues and that seemed to extend into the tongue. Surgical excision was performed, and histological examination confirmed a cavernous lymphangioma.por
