| dc.description.abstract | RESUMO O custo efectividade em cuidados de saúde tem sido o principal paradigma em todas as áreas da Medicina. A infertilidade como problema de saúde, e se deverá ou não o seu tratamento tornarse pacote do Sistema de Nacional de Saúde, é um assunto de extrema sensibilidade. É importante uma análise exacta dos custos da fecundação in vitro (FIV) para o doente, prestadores de cuidados, seguradoras e numa escala nacional para os políticos de saúde. ABSTRACT Cost-effective healthcare has become a principal paradigm in all areas of Medicine. The issue of infertility and whether its treatment should be part of the health basket in a national health program is an extremely sensitive subject of social, ethical and political implications. Therefore an exact cost analysis of in vitro fertilization (IVF) is important to the individual patient, the health providers, the insurers, and on a national scale, to the policymakers. | por |
