| dc.description.abstract | RESUMO A gastroenterite aguda (GEA) na criança é, ainda, uma das causas mais comuns de hospitalização e importante problema de saúde pública, no nosso país. Resulta da infecção do tracto gastrointestinal por variados agentes patogénicos que alteram a função intestinal. Assim episódios frequentes contribuem para má-nutrição ao interferirem com a absorção de nutrientes, pelo catabolismo aumentado provocado pela infecção e a redução da ingestão calórica pelos vómitos. O presente trabalho tem como objectivo fazer uma revisão sistemática de aspectos clínicos relevantes e consensos terapêuticos de acordo com recomendações recentes das Sociedades Europeia e Latino Americana de Gastrenterologia, Hepatologia e Nutrição Pediátrica. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT Acute gastroenteritis in children is still one of the most common causes of hospitalization and a major public health problem in our country. It is caused by various pathogens that alter the intestinal function. Therefore frequent episodes contribute to malnutrition by interfering with the absorption of nutrients, an increased catabolism due to infection and the reduction of caloric intake by vomiting. This paper aims to review systematically the clinical relevance and therapeutic consensus in accordance with recent guidelines of European and Latin American Societies of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Pediatric Nutrition. | en |
